Economic news, explained in plain words
BWG HUB is a small, independent information project. We take the economic stories behind the headlines and explain what they mean, step by step and without jargon. We only share information and do not sell anything.
Explainers worth reading first

4 min readFacts first. Plain words. No guessing
Three rules we follow in every article and every post.
Facts first
We start with what actually happened and where the information comes from: official statistics, public reports and reliable news sources.
Plain words
If a term needs explaining, we explain it. If an idea can be said in one sentence, we do not use five.
No guessing
We describe events and their context. We do not try to predict what will happen next, and we say so when something is uncertain.
The words behind the headlines
Economic news uses the same handful of terms over and over. Our glossary explains each one in two or three sentences.
A general rise in prices over time, which means the same amount of money buys a little less.
The total value of goods and services produced in a country over a period of time.
A statistical correction that removes regular yearly patterns, so that months can be compared fairly.
Short explanations, in your pocket
The website has the longer articles. Our public Telegram channel has short posts: what happened, why it matters and which terms are worth knowing. Anyone can read it and leave at any time.
